A good relationship benefits us all

As a middle school student, I think it necessary to build a good relationship with our teachers, for it is the teachers who show love and concern for us students in study and life. We students can always seek support and advice from them, from which we benefit and learn a great deal.

In this case, a good relationship between teachers and students is very important. In my opinion, this relationship should be one filled with love, care, understanding, and respect, so we can exchange ideas freely. To build a relationship of this kind, teachers should become our friends while we students ought to trust teachers and express our feelings frankly. Only by joint efforts can we enjoy a warm relationship between teachers and students, and live a happy and harmonious life.

W: No, Saturday is fine. And there’s a good starting on Saturday, too

M: Good. I’m going to play tennis Saturday morning, but I’ll be home by 3:00. Then we can go out for a big dinner and go to the movie, if nothing else comes up.

One day, Mr. Hill was standing at the door reading a newspaper when a stranger came up to him and said, “Excuse me, but could you tell me where the department store is?” “Sure,” answered Mr. Hill, “you must go across the bridge and then turn right. The bridge is only 20 meters long.”

The stranger thanked him and went on his way. He was still walking across the bridge when someone suddenly called out from behind him. “Look out!” The stranger turned around and found it was Mr. Hill.

Breathing shallowly, Mr. Hill said, “I’m sorry that I gave you the wrong direction. I have come to tell you that the bridge is 40 meters long, not 20 meters long as I said just now. If you go 20 meters and then turn right, you will fall into the water as I did a couple of years ago when someone gave me the same direction.”
