man, woman, sheep, people这三个名词的特点：

　　1．man, woman的复数形式将a变e, 即men, women.

　　2．sheep的单、复数形式相同。如： sheep, three sheep.

　　3．people为集体名词，表示复数概念，people后若加s则表示民族的多少。请比较：

　　two people 两个人   many people 很多人

　　a people 一个民族   many peoples 多个民族

二、下列口诀可帮助大家妙学这几个名词：

　　男女复数a变s, sheep同形表单、复。

　　如果people 加s, 必定表示多民族。

三、请看下面几句话，再区分have与there be

　　1．我有一台电脑。

　　I have a computer.

　　2．（在）桌上有一个卷笔刀。

　　There is a sharpener on the desk.

　　3．（在）山上有很多树。

　　不难看出：汉语中如果可以加个“在”字，一般应用there is/ are表示“有”，因为它强调存在关系，而have表示“有”强调所有关系。请利用口诀来巧学它们的区别。
