Ⅰ.Teaching Aims and Demands.
1. Knowledge
Words and Expressions:
Cap, note, can(n.), hammer, musical, generation, learn by heart, in praise of heroes, nowadays, passer-by (Plural Form: passers-by), pattern, root, earn one’s living, Caribbean, the Caribbean, drum, play an important part, has been passed down, world music.
2. Abilities
A. Being able to use the functional sentences correctly and use the patterns properly.
B. Being able to summarize a paragraph or a text as soon as possible and retell the text without referring to the book and using the new words and expressions as much as possible.
C. Having the ability to do information searching on the Internet.
D. Having excellent communicative skills and strong ability to corporate with others.
E. Being able to talk about music in English.
3. Emotional education
A. Try to get Ss to like music and enjoy the peace and quiet in music.
B. Music can mold a person’s temperament and is our friend . Just enjoy it and keep relaxed.
C. Unity is strength.

1. the grammar—the “-ing” form is used as Predictive, Attribute and Object complement
2. Summarizing a paragraph in one sentence and using new words and expressions to retell a text.
